NavLive accelerates growth as AI-driven site capture gains

Investment, product innovation and customer adoption position NavLive for global expansion in AI-powered 3D scanning.

NavLive, the AI-powered real-time scanning company focused on improving how the built environment is captured and validated, has marked a breakthrough year defined by rapid growth, product advancement and expanding customer adoption.

Operating from London and Oxford, the company has increased headcount by over 60% since the start of 2025, strengthening engineering, product and commercial teams as demand rises across architecture, engineering, construction (AEC), nuclear and defence projects where accuracy and assurance are critical.

“The NavLive scanner has significantly accelerated our design workflow and achieved measurable cost savings while improving the accuracy and assurance of our model data.”

Nicholas Mulholland, Managing Director, AWW Architects

As adoption has grown, NavLive has secured customers and partners across the UK and internationally, with early users reporting measurable improvements in speed, precision and confidence in site data.

Throughout 2025, NavLive has delivered a series of product enhancements designed to streamline the capture and use of as-built information.

New capabilities include high-fidelity 3D site models, automated generation of 2D floor plans and elevations, real-time on-site visualisation, improved object capture and control points for greater accuracy, advanced floor plan editing, and enhanced collaboration through the NavLive Portal.

Together, these developments are helping project teams reduce rework, shorten delivery timelines and rely more confidently on digital data to support design, coordination and construction decisions.

“The NavLive scanner has been one of the best investments our company has ever made. We no longer need repeated site visits to verify details as the scanner generates both a precise point cloud model and accompanying images. This has completely transformed the way we survey, saving countless hours of work.”

The year also saw NavLive emerge from stealth, supported by a £4m seed investment to accelerate development of its real-time AI scanning platform for complex and regulated environments.

The funding included a £3.3m seed round led by Oxford Science Enterprises, with backing from SOSV, Oxford Capital Partners, Clearance Venture Partners, AE Works, Britbots and Oxford Innovation Finance, alongside a £700,000 Innovate UK grant awarded previously.

The company’s progress has also been recognised by the wider industry. NavLive secured the AI Development Excellence Award at Trimble Dimensions, coinciding with its Trimble integration and US market entry

The company was also named European Pitch Day winner at the Cemex Construction Startup Competition, reinforcing its position within the global ConTech landscape.

“2025 has been a transformative year for NavLive. We’ve grown our team, launched publicly, secured world-class investors and partners, and, seen our technology prove its value on real projects in the AEC, nuclear and defence sectors. We’re only at the beginning of what NavLive can do, and I couldn’t be more excited for what’s coming next.”

Chris Davison, CEO, NavLive

With strong foundations in place, NavLive is preparing for further expansion in 2026, with additional product launches, wider deployment across critical infrastructure and continued investment in its growing team.
