Dan Alvarez has been appointed by Birmingham Proptech firm Vertical as their new Group Chief Revenue Officer. Dan holds 30 years of experience in the UK telecommunication and utilities sector, including senior positions at Vitrifi, Vorboss, and Glide. Vertical is aiming to expand its portfolio of energy management brands in 2026.
Dan is also known for creating high-performing commercial operations and scalable business models. In this new role he will manage customer acquisition, revenue generation and marketing across the Vertical’s brands, including The Student Energy Group, Do Energy and Tickd.
Dan’s appointment is significant as Vertical aim to push both professional and residential energy markets, with emphasis on securing partnerships with landlords and attracting student customers.

For his first year with the firm, Dan aims to boost revenues whilst building a sustainable and scalable business model for the company. This is coupled with long terms goals of positioning Vertical for substantial growth over the next five years and elevating the customer experience through various innovative engagement strategies.
