Babek Ismayil – founder and driving force behind housing and fintech platform OneDome – has been shortlisted as a London finalist for the prestigious EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2026 UK programme.
The announcement places Babek among 90 exceptional entrepreneurs from across the country, with London recognised as the most competitive category in the competition. As a London finalist, Babek will now be assessed by an independent panel of judges.
“Being named a London finalist is a tremendous honour. This recognition reflects the relentless drive of the entire OneDome team. We have worked tirelessly to transform the property market, and we are just getting started.”
Babek Ismayil, Founder, OneDome
The London shortlist spans all sectors and this year’s finalist includes entrepreneurs from industries including FMCG, automotive and various technologies.
Ten entrepreneurs will be selected to progress to the UK final, with the overall UK winner announced at a Celebration Dinner in November 2026. The winner will go on to represent the UK at EY World Entrepreneur of the Year in 2027.
“This year’s regional finalists demonstrate bold leadership, long‑term vision and a clear commitment to building businesses that create value – not only for their customers, but for communities and the wider UK economy. They are truly exceptional leaders and exemplify the strength of the UK’s entrepreneurial talent.”
Ally Scott, Co-Partner Lead, Entrepreneur Of The Year UK
Under Babek’s leadership, OneDome has achieved exceptional results, growing revenue 15,500% since 2022 while being profitable.
