Veco adds new AI features for property agents

The new tools cover compliance documents, supplier invoices, repair reporting and applicant matching.

Property software provider Veco has added four new AI features to its Ask Veco assistant. The new features are expected to reduce repetitive administration for estate and letting agents.

The Compliance Assistant takes key information from Gas Safety Certificates, EPCs and EICRs, comprising expiry dates and certificate numbers. When approved by an agent, it files documents against the relevant property and pencils in the next due date. It can also close related works orders.

The Supplier Invoice Helper reads invoices in various formats and identifies the key managed property; it checks for duplicates and extracts details like VAT and nominal codes. Agents can then approve the information before invoices are issued.

“Agents don’t need AI to make decisions for them. They’re accountable for compliance and for their clients’ money, so they need AI that does the reading and the typing, then hands the decision back. That’s how we’ve designed Ask Veco.

“Whether it’s a certificate, an invoice or a repair report, the AI does the groundwork, and the agent makes the final call.”

Richard Murray, CEO, Veco

The Repair Assistant enables tenants to report problems around the clock through a conversational self-service tool. It gathers details and photos and creates a repair record with a summary and transcript, and it can flag issues which might be the tenant’s responsibility – like replacing bulbs or fuses.

The Applicant Matching tool contrasts applicants with properties using criteria such as budget, bedrooms and location, with less structured requirements like whether pets are allowed. Agencies can make their own priorities, with each match getting a score and explanation.

The tools are currently available to Veco Plus customers in the UK and cover compliance documents, supplier invoices, repair reporting and applicant matching, assisting the teams to handle routine tasks in their existing system.
