A UK-based artificial intelligence property technology company with operations in Cardiff – Planna – has partnered with Lloyds Banking Group to launch an AI-driven Neighbourhood Guide designed to support customers researching where to live.
The new digital tool will be made available to Lloyds and Halifax customers, providing on-demand insights into neighbourhoods across the UK. It is designed to help people planning a move better understand local areas before making a decision, using AI to turn large volumes of data into practical, easy-to-digest information.
“We’re helping Lloyds Banking Group launch an innovative Neighbourhood Guide, a unique product that harnesses AI to help customers explore and understand any neighbourhood from the comfort of home. Our goal is to support Lloyds in helping their customers wherever they find their dream home.”
Alain Hanash, CEO, Planna
The Neighbourhood Guide draws on hundreds of thousands of public and proprietary data sources, which Planna’s AI continuously analyses and updates. The platform delivers tailored insights covering housing costs, average property prices, transport links, local amenities, schools and broader lifestyle considerations.
By integrating the tool directly into existing banking apps, Lloyds aims to support customers earlier in the home-moving journey, complementing existing digital tools and mortgage advice with location-based intelligence.
The collaboration was developed through Lloyds’ Launch Innovation Programme – a 12-week initiative designed to accelerate experimentation with emerging technology partners and bring new digital services to market more quickly.
“We’re proud to launch the Neighbourhood Guide powered by Planna, giving customers smart local insights directly in our app, alongside the tools we already offer our customers, from guidance and digital tools to expert mortgage advice for people looking to find their first or next home.”
Kate Townson, Relationship Mortgages Director, Lloyds
Founded to simplify and improve the homeownership experience, Planna develops AI-powered property intelligence tools that help individuals and organisations make more informed decisions.
Alongside consumer-facing products, the company is also building infrastructure that enables insurers, lenders and property managers to access real-time property data and insights at scale.
