Hospitable adds two advancements to tasks suite

Hospitable has added inventory management and credit card payments to its suite of tools for managing property operations.

Short-term rental operating system Hospitable has added inventory management and credit card payments to Hospitable Tasks, its suite of tools for managing property operations and on-the-ground teams.

The additions enable property managers can set the items they want tracked at each property, along with the stock level at which each should be replenished. Teammates then update those levels as they work, flagging what needs restocking or replacing so the manager doesn’t have to check.

When the property owner is responsible for amenities, the cost is recorded against the property and carried over to the owner’s statement. Hospitable is the first short-term rental property management software (PMS) to offer native inventory management, integrated with both operational tasks and owner expenses.

Keeping properties stocked typically relies on spreadsheets, receipts, and messages from cleaners, and it grows with the portfolio. Identifying what needs replacing, tracking which property used what, and matching those costs to the correct owner takes time every month, and a missed restock can compromise a five-star review.

Hospitable has also introduced credit card payments for teammate payouts, allowing managers to pay cleaners and teammates from a registered credit card as well as a bank account. Cleaning is typically the largest recurring cost attached to a property, and managers often settle it before the guest payment for that reservation has arrived. Paying on credit removes that gap and lets managers earn card rewards on spending they were making anyway.

Both additions sit within Hospitable Tasks, introduced in March 2026 to keep property teams aligned without constant messaging. Work is delegated automatically when bookings change, teammates receive instructions in their own language, smart lock codes are issued to each team member, feedback on guests and property conditions comes back from the people on site, and teams are paid for completed work through the same system.

Capabilities added over the past seven months include SMS invitations, allowing teammates to be added and assigned work using a phone number alone. Automatic translation of task instructions and in-app messaging, now supporting English, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Chinese, and French.

It has image authenticity verification, capturing device, timestamp, and location metadata on uploaded photos and flagging when an image was taken elsewhere or on a different day. The same images can be submitted as evidence when a damage claim is made.

Onboarding guides and video walkthroughs for teammates, supplying guest scores and internal notes from teammates, giving managers context on the condition of a property before leaving a guest review. Lastly, teammate Payouts, allowing property managers to pay the people completing work directly through Hospitable.

Hospitable Tasks has now close to 15,000 teammates, tracked over 28,000 tasks and processed over $3.8m (USD) in teammates payouts.

“A lot happens at a property between one guest checking out and the next checking in. Tasks might start with assigning a cleaner, but managers also need to know the work has been done properly, what condition the property is in, what needs replacing, and what it has cost.

“We’ve continued building Hospitable Tasks around more of that day-to-day work. Inventory is a natural next step, because supplies are closely connected to what teams are already seeing and doing inside the property, and the people best placed to track them are the ones in the room.

“Paying by card follows the same thinking. Cleaning is often the biggest cost attached to a property, and managers are regularly covering it before the booking money lands.

“Giving them the option to put that on credit is a small change that makes the month easier to manage.”

Hospitable recently announced the launch of Split Payouts for Vrbo and direct bookings enabling property managers to automatically split booking revenue between themselves and their owners from one single transaction. Earlier this year, Hospitable also launched an official Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, enabling direct integration between property management systems and AI agents, unlocking customisable workflows and new ways to operate.
