Dwelly has announced the acquisition of Cheltenham-based agency Move, marking the business’s sixth acquisition of 2026 and the third in quick succession, as the company continues a sustained period of expansion across the UK lettings market.
The deal adds 1,100 fully managed properties across three branches to the Dwelly portfolio, significantly strengthening the company’s presence across Cheltenham and the wider Southwest region.
Having already acquired Elliot Oliver, Dwelly has acquired another Cheltenham based agent – Move, a company that, like Elliot Oliver, has established a strong regional presence within both lettings and sales.
Following the acquisition of Move, Founder George Tatham-Losh will take a step back, while Verity Howes will step up into the role of Managing Director, leading the company through its next phase of growth under the Dwelly umbrella.
“As our acquisition activity has accelerated this year, we’ve remained incredibly focused on the type of businesses we want to partner with.
“Move stood out because it’s a business with deep local roots, a strong culture and a team that genuinely understands its market. Those qualities are incredibly difficult to build and they’re exactly what we value most when looking at acquisitions.
“Our approach is about helping already successful agencies operate even more effectively by improving the infrastructure behind the scenes.
“Through technology and AI-led systems, we’re able to remove much of the manual admin and operational friction that slows teams down, allowing them to spend more time focused on service, relationships and growth.”
Sam Humphreys, Head of M&A, Dwelly
The acquisition follows a string of deals completed by Dwelly so far, including acquiring East Midlands lettings agency Albery Tyson earlier this year. The business continues to focus on established independent agencies that have built strong reputations within their local markets and communities.
“Move has been built over many years through the hard work of a fantastic team and a genuine commitment to delivering great service across the local market.
“As the industry continues to evolve, it became increasingly important to find a partner that could help take the business forward whilst protecting the culture and reputation we’ve worked so hard to build.
“Dwelly’s approach to acquisitions really aligned with that thinking. Their focus on empowering local agencies through better operational support and technology, rather than removing what makes them successful, gave me a huge amount of confidence about the future direction of the business.”
George Tatham-Losh, Founder, Move
Dwelly comments its acquisition strategy differs from many larger consolidators within the sector, allowing acquired agencies to continue delivering the local service and relationships they are known for, whilst benefiting from the efficiencies created through improved technology and streamlined operational processes.
