reebuild raises capital for AI operating system build-out

The funding will be used for geographic expansion, the development of new AI-native modules and team growth.

reebuild, the AI-native back-office automation platform for construction and real estate, has raised a €3m in a Seed round. The round was led by investors Fortino Ventures, a Ghent-based VC firm backing B2B AI and software companies in Europe from its third-generation VC fund.

Other investors in the round include Rise PropTech and Curiosity VC, and existing backer Hansmann Family Office.

“We know the problems of this industry firsthand, and we build reebuild together with our customers, extremely close to the day-to-day reality on site.

“The software many construction companies and developers still work with today has barely evolved in decades and has fallen behind rising expectations.

“We’re convinced that we can shake up this market with a team that combines deep construction and technology know-how.

“Not with another tool, but with a solution that truly understands how construction sites and projects are handled on the commercial side.”

Alexander Kornell, CEO and Founder, reebuild

The company was founded in 2022 by Alexander Kornell (CEO), Matteo Cimadom (CRO) and Luca Papay (CTO) as Co-Founders. reebuild is a vertical AI platform which reads incoming documents line by line, albiet in PDF, photo, scan, or e-invoice. It then converts structured data and automates invoice review, cost management and material tracking.

On reebuild’s platform, delivery notes, invoices, and order confirmations are matched automatically, and the software learns from the decisions of commercial managers, reducing repetitive administrative workflow. On site, a foreman can photograph a delivery note with the mobile app and have it embedded in the system.

With cost administration between departments being embedded in spreadsheets and paper folders, invoices matched by hand, approvals lacking transparency and early-payment discounts routinely unclaimed – reebuild aims to bridge this this gap – with AI agents preparing work, flagging repetitive tasks and recommending next actions, while keeping human teams in control of final approvals.

“We believe now is the time for construction companies to digitise and automate their back-office processes with SaaS and AI. reebuild is the right team to execute on this, with the founding team having their family roots in the construction sector.”

Wouter Goossens, Partner, Fortino Ventures

The company mentions their platform has processed over €530m in invoice volume across over 120 construction companies and property developers, ranging over 8,200 construction sites and projects.

reebuild has handled over 345k documents, with over 2,350 active users across its customer base including Pittel+Brausewetter, 3SI Immogroup, Rödl & Herdegen, and Kratzert Gruppe. They also reported that invoice handling time has been cut from over 20 minutes to approximately three minutes, and customers have mentioned a reduction in procurement costs by up to 20%.

The funding will be used in three areas – geographic expansion beyond reebuild’s established markets in Austria and Germany, the development of new AI-native modules that fully automate contractors’ workflows from calculation to accounting. Lastly, the funds will be used to fuel team growth at its Vienna headquarters. The company employs approximately 25 people.
