OpenAI secures first permanent UK office

Endurance Land secures a landmark letting for OpenAI’s first permanent UK office which is set to open in 2027. 

OpenAI which focuses on AI research and deployment has selected Jahn Court & Brassworks, Regent Quarter in King’s Cross as the home of its first permanent London office.

This pivotal transaction signals a bold new chapter for Regent Quarter as one of the world’s most influential AI pioneers establishes its presence at the heart of London’s innovation district.

The company has signed an 88,500 sq ft space spanning Jahn Court and the Brassworks Building and is expected to open in 2027. OpenAI’s arrival not only elevates Jahn Court but powerfully underpins Regent Quarter’s strong locality for global innovation tenants.

Spanning 260,073 sq ft across 12 office buildings, alongside 20 retail and leisure units, Regent Quarter offers a dynamic, mixed-use ecosystem purpose-built for collaboration, creativity, and growth.

The wider estate’s evolution is set to accelerate even further with the upcoming Times House & Laundry Building development, due for completion in the second half of 2027.

This next phase will introduce premium Grade A workspace, enhanced public realm, and an expanded mix of retail and leisure, cementing Regent Quarter’s status as a thriving destination for creative, technology, and knowledge-led businesses.

Jahn Court will accommodate OpenAI’s London based teams across research, engineering, customer support, integrity enterprise, start-ups, policy, communications, marketing and sales. Occupation expected from 2027 under a long-term lease agreement.
