K1 backs merger of Micad and SINGU to drive PropTech consolidation

K1 Investment Management has combined two European real estate software providers, Micad and SINGU, in a move that creates one of the largest facility and property management platforms in the region.

The new entity serves more than 100,000 buildings covering over 250 million sqm across 35 countries. SINGU brings expertise in facility management, maintenance automation and sustainability reporting, while Micad adds capabilities in asset, space and compliance solutions. Customers already include Prologis, CBRE, the NHS, Logicor, the University of Cambridge, and Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield.

“This combination creates a rare opportunity to build a unified European platform that addresses the increasing need to digitize property management. In bringing our capabilities together, we offer commercial real estate managers an end-to-end solution that comprehensively addresses the pain points of managing facilities and facility operations.”

Paweł Malon, CEO of the combined company

The platform offers preventive, reactive and predictive maintenance, compliance management tools, mobile-first operations for on-site staff, and automated sustainability reporting. Both SINGU and Micad are also developing AI-driven capabilities such as predictive maintenance, inspection task automation and analytics.

“With K1’s support, we are combining two mission-critical platforms to accelerate our vision of becoming the premier property management technology across Europe. Our integrated solution will deliver actionable strategic intelligence, empowering facility managers in healthcare, logistics, retail, higher education, government and other verticals to drive efficiency, compliance, and long-term value.”

Peter Harris, Managing Director of Micad

K1 will continue to back both platforms with investment in product development, while also supporting an acquisition strategy to deepen functionality and expand into new European markets.

“We are thrilled to partner with Paweł, Peter, and their respective teams to help scale a European leader in facility management software. This is the moment to unify the leading solutions in the space, as property managers across Europe are rethinking how they operate. Together, SINGU and Micad are positioned to lead that transformation.”
