Breezemove set to expand into the UK following investment

The capital investment will be use to advance PropTech capabilities and contribute to the company's expansion into the UK.

PropTech platform Breezemove has secured a £160k investment from GC Angels. The capital will be used to improve the firm’s technology platform and support expansion into Manchester.

Previous investment backing includes FSE Capital in 2023 and forms part of an ongoing £750k fundraising round, with the company having also secured support from angel investors. This follows Breezemove’s participation in the first cohort of GC Angels’ Venture Forward accelerator programme, supported by Innovate UK.

“Having spent more than a decade in property development, I experienced first-hand the frustrations and inefficiencies that exist throughout the home-moving process. We launched Breezemove to bring greater accountability, transparency and efficiency to every stage of the transaction journey.

“The Venture Forward programme really helped us to understand what was required when undergoing an institutional funding round and was ultimately invaluable when we were raising funds. This investment from GC Angels now gives us the capital we need to continue enhancing our technology and accelerating our growth.

“We’ve already seen strong adoption across Birmingham, Liverpool and now Manchester, and we’re excited to build on that momentum as we expand into new regions.”

Phil Melia, Founder, Breezemove

Breezemove is currently a team of eight and plans to expand its workforce growing both its sales and technology functions.

“The property transaction process is extremely complex and fragmented. Breezemove has developed an innovative solution that addresses these challenges by improving accountability and transparency across the entire transaction chain.

“With transaction timelines increasing across the market and consumers facing greater uncertainty throughout the home-moving process, solutions that can improve efficiency and reduce fall-through rates have a significant role to play in the future of the sector.

“Phil and the team have combined deep sector expertise with a clear vision for how technology can modernise the home-moving experience.

“This was clear throughout our first Venture Forward programme, and it’s why we’re so excited to now be supporting Breezemove as it scales its platform, expands into new markets and continues to deliver meaningful improvements for property professionals and consumers alike.”

Ranvir Singh, Investment Manager, GC Angels

The company is set to recruit specialist data scientists and product talent as it continues to develop its platform and data-driven capabilities. Breezemove has started onboarding estate agents across Greater Manchester, and is looking to further expand its UK footprint into Leeds, London and Bristol.
