ApartmentIQ, a real-time market intelligence, revenue management, and AI platform for the multifamily industry, has received a $25m follow-on investment from Susquehanna Growth Equity (SGE).
SGE previously led the company’s $22.5m Series B round in 2021. The fresh capital marks a continuation of their relationship as the company has shifted its focus away from consumer rentals.
The investment illustrates how ApartmentIQ has repositioned itself as an integrated platform that gives multifamily operators real-time visibility into their markets, tools to optimise revenue, and AI-driven automation for day-to-day operational tasks.
In the two-year period, the company has established itself as a new benchmark for market surveys within the multifamily sector. Their platform now supports over 1,500 portfolios.
This trajectory mirrors a wider pivot across the industry towards platforms built on public data and information that updates in real time, remains transparent, and is broad enough to reflect genuine market movement.
ApartmentIQ’s market survey tool – which draws solely on publicly available data to give operators daily, unit-level insight into pricing and availability – is designed to replace the slower, manual survey processes operators have traditionally used to track competitor pricing.
“When SGE first invested, we had a strong business helping people find apartments. Today, we’re building products that help multifamily operators see their markets in real time, make more predictive decisions, and automate more of the manual work required to compete.
“SGE has been an exceptional partner through a period of significant transformation for the business. This investment accelerates our vision for a broader multifamily platform powered by real-time public data and AI.”
Alec Slocum, Co-Founder and CEO, ApartmentIQ
The company has since broadened that foundation with two further products. Firstly, Explore Pro which is a market intelligence tool aimed at operators, investors and developers, assisting them find opportunities in acquisitions, development, redevelopment and competitive positioning as they arise.
Daylight is an AI-powered revenue management platform built on close to six years of daily market data ranging 40 million units as opposed to functioning as a black box. It is built to be transparent and predictive, reflecting genuine market behaviour.
ApartmentIQ has also deployed MavenAI – its AI-powered marketing agent for the multifamily sector. The tool takes over tasks multifamily teams have traditionally dealt with manually, like updating Google Business Profiles, publishing to social channels, and managing listings across disconnected marketing platforms.
MavenAI now runs across over 10,000 properties and has already cut tens of thousands of hours of manual work for multifamily teams. With the industry moving away from conventional SEO towards GEO and AI-led discovery, the tool is helping operators keep pace with how renters now search for and choose homes online.
“Since our initial investment, Alec and his team have consistently translated product innovation into meaningful adoption across the multifamily industry as AI tools take hold.
“The Company’s expansion and effective utilisation of AI to provide real-time market intelligence, revenue management, and marketing automation reflects a platform that is both broadening its capabilities and becoming increasingly critical for operators and owners.
“We are pleased to continue supporting ApartmentIQ as it scales into its next phase of growth.”
Josh Elser, Growth Equity Managing Director, Susquehanna
The new funding will expand ApartmentIQ’s platform, increasing investment in MavenAI and other AI-driven products to build up its engineering, data, product and go-to-market teams.
