Oman Real Estate Association initiates online platform

The online forum was launched to dedicate to innovation and AI in Oman's property sector.

The Oman Real Estate Association confirmed it has launched its online platform and signed a series of cooperation agreements on Tuesday at a forum in Muscat – which is dedicated to innovation and artificial intelligence (AI) in the Sultanate of Oman’s property sector.

The Real Estate Innovation and Artificial Intelligence Forum, organised by the association, analysed how digital solutions and AI can be leveraged to raise the efficiency and competitiveness of the sector amid technological change.

Hassan bin Khamis al Ruqaishi, Chairman of the Oman Real Estate Association, mentioned the forum was reflective of the association’s growing focus on innovation and new technology, and its work on initiatives assists the sector with future change.

He also added the forum formed part of a wider drive to build a more innovative, efficient and sustainable real estate sector and to strengthen cooperation between players across the property ecosystem. This approach is in line with Oman’s economic and urban development priorities and with the objective of making the sector appeal to investment.

The forum opened with a presentation by Abdulkhaliq bin Zayed al Busaidi, who spoke of the challenges investors, developers and buyers are facing. He discussed the role of digital asset management in cutting costs, predictive analytics to improve the investor experience, and the application of AI in curating energy-efficient smart neighbourhoods.

Eng Hana bint Said al Sadi of Tatwir spoke of the role of the centre and the offerings it provides to the community. The programme also comprised an interactive panel discussion on the future of new technology in the property market.

The memorandums of cooperation signed at the event are aimed at widening partnership and integration, and enhancing the services and initiatives offered to those working in the sector and other stakeholders.
