The AI communications platform and CRM designed for multifamily and student housing – VerbaFlo – attended RETCON 2026, one of the United States’ leading PropTech conferences, held in Las Vegas starting 9 March.
Representing VerbaFlo at the event were Chief Business Officer Dan Smith and SVP, Head of US Student Housing and Multifamily Jennifer Love, who spent the week meeting operators, investors and technology partners from across the US real estate ecosystem.
RETCON is widely regarded as one of the most influential gatherings in PropTech, bringing together leaders across real estate, technology and investment to explore the future of property operations, leasing and customer experience.
Since being founded, VerbaFlo has been actively engaging with 40 plus clients and industry stakeholders to refine its platform, focusing on the operational challenges facing modern rental housing businesses.
The company has been analysing pain points across leasing, marketing, operations, maintenance and finance, while also studying the limitations of existing AI tools currently being deployed in the US. Dan Smith, Chief Business Officer at VerbaFlo, said the conference reinforced the scale of opportunity for AI-driven transformation in property operations.
“RETCON was an incredibly valuable event for us. Over the last 18 months we’ve been listening carefully to operators and residents, understanding the friction points within leasing, marketing and operations, and also learning where current AI communications platforms and CRMs are falling short.
“The US market has moved fast in adopting AI across real estate operations. However, we’re seeing that the value proposition and pricing models have not yet caught up with the expectations of operators. Some existing systems are becoming rigid and are starting to lose focus on customer service and success. At VerbaFlo, our goal is to give operators a flexible AI platform that genuinely improves both operational efficiency and the customer experience.”

VerbaFlo is pioneering a new category within PropTech through the development of an AI CRM and communications platform built specifically for rental living sectors including student housing, multifamily, co-living and Build to Rent.
The platform allows operators to deploy over 50 AI agents across different business functions including leasing, marketing, operations, maintenance and finance. All conversations handled by these agents are automatically captured within a central CRM, providing operators with full visibility of customer interactions and operational workflows.
Jennifer Love, SVP Head of US Student Housing and Multifamily at VerbaFlo, attended RETCON as her first industry event with the company. Love brings extensive experience from across the PropTech sector and the US student housing and multifamily industries.
“RETCON was a fantastic introduction to VerbaFlo within the US market. Having worked in the PropTech space for many years, it’s rare to see a product that aligns so closely with the real operational needs of operators. What stood out to me during the conference is just how well the product fits the moment the industry is in.
“Operators are actively looking for ways to automate processes, improve response times and deliver better customer experiences without increasing operational complexity. VerbaFlo addresses those challenges directly. The product fit is strong and the timing for the market is exactly right.”

As the company expands across North America and Europe, VerbaFlo aims to become the central AI operating layer for rental living, helping operators automate routine tasks while enhancing customer engagement across the full resident lifecycle.
VerbaFlo is the AI communications platform built for residential real estate. Founded in October 2024, the company helps property owners and operators manage leasing, operations, and resident engagement through conversational AI.
